President’s Message

Aloha mai kākou,

大家好,

I am honored to serve as your 2026 Honolulu Chinese Jaycees President. It is a true privilege to lead an organization with a 73-year legacy of service, leadership, and cultural pride, and I look forward to connecting with each of you through our general membership meetings, social gatherings, community service initiatives, professional development opportunities, cultural celebrations, and international exchanges.

This year, my vision is to create meaningful, engaging, and impactful experiences that bring our members and community together. Through these opportunities, I hope to inspire deeper involvement, strengthen leadership, celebrate our culture, and expand our reach beyond Oʻahu, showcasing who we are to communities around the world.

As we step into this new year, I invite you to join me as we Unleash the Dragon by embracing growth, unity, and global connection. From our home on the small island of Oʻahu, we will make our presence known, build lasting relationships overseas, and leave a positive impact wherever our journey takes us.

2026 President Stanley Yu

2026 Board of Directors

The HCJ Board of Directors consists of member-officers elected by the general membership and entrusted with the authority to make decisions on behalf of the organization. The Board leads and provides day-to-day oversight and votes on plans of action, budgets, projects, and other activities.

The Board bases its decisions on documentation and other forms of support approved by the membership as well as the JCI Mission and the overall capacity of the organization. The Board ensures that all activities are aligned with the JCI Mission and are in the best interests of the organization.

Being elected to the Board is both an honor and a responsibility. Board members represent the membership and the interests of the organization in every decision they make. The Board must understand its fellow members’ motivations and needs, and earn their respect. These individuals should be looked to as role models for HCJ members, embodying the JCI Mission in both leadership and action.
